About the Fountain

The Fountain Show is an incredible performance of dancing water, lights and music. It is located in an artificial lake of 12 hectares in the Downtown, near the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The Fountain is one of the largest and tallest fountains in the world. Its length is 275 m, and the height of the jets reaches 150 meters, which is approximately equal to the height of a 50-floor building.

The technical abilities of the Fountain are really extraordinary. During each performance, it raises about 83 tons of water per second. To provide a stunning full spectrum of color, its system uses 6,600 wet lights and 25 color projects. Incredibly powerful high-pressure pumps ensure the functioning of the fountain and create spectacular shoots of water.

The musical accompaniment is chosen in such a way that it looks like the fountain is really dancing. You can hear there classical compositions as well as contemporary arabic and world’s top song. Among the musical compositions used for the show, there were such famous songs as Michael Jackson's Thriller, Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman's Time to Say Goodbye, Skyfall by Adele and I will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.
